CAMPAIGN STATEMENT: 

The work of NG911 Institute, NENA and other organizations are never to be more important as they are now and in the next few years. I believe my past experience in assisting public safety move forward with a nation-wide broadband network will enable me to a very effective member of the Board of Director for the NG 911 Institute. I hope you will feel the same and support me by electing me as a at-large member of the Board.

For the past 7 years, I as leading the public safety effort for Alcatel-Lucent. This position has enabled me to make many valuable contact and friendship among the public safety organizations, government officials, and key members of Congress. I can bring this experience to the NG911 Board.

I had the great privilege of testifying to the FCC commissioners on this issue.

At ALU we were the first to deploy a 700 MHz broadband network in the District of Columbia. The lesson learn from this deploy as been very valuable not only for ALU nut also public safety. It was growing pains for both of us together and we were able to overcome the issues together by great leadership on both sides.

I pledge to bring that same leadership if elected to the Board of Directors. This is a time on our country were sides need to come together for the common cause. We need to move forward all of the issues that are faced by the next generation 911 networks. Never before do we have the opportunity to give to the public what they need and want when they have an emergency.

BIO:
Len Fatica is an Alcatel-Lucent Senior Director in the CDMA/LTE Public Safety Market group.  Mr. Fatica has been with the company for 15 years.  Over the course of his tenure, Mr. Fatica has held various strategy, business, and technical positions focused on the telecommunications industry.  In his current position he is responsible for Marketing, Market Development, and Product Planning within the CDMA/LTE Public Safety business group.  He leads an organization responsible for the development and implementation of company-wide strategic plans for public safety based on a broad and in-depth understanding of the market. 

Previously, Mr. Fatica was an Offer Manager in the Communication Software business, and progressed to New Business Development Manager and then into Product Management CDMA.  Prior to joining Lucent Technologies, he worked for McCaw Cellular One and GTE as Market Manager and External Affairs.  Mr. Fatica has 25 years of professional experience in the telecommunications industry
